In 2021 and 2022 Advisa processed many hundred Resident 2021 Visas...

All of you will become eligible for Permanent Residency in NZ in the coming months and next year. This removes all travel conditions from your and your family’s visas.

Permanent Resident Visa General (PRV), Second or Subsequent Resident Visa and Variation of Travel Conditions of a Resident Visa applications:

  • All application types will move onto the INZ enhanced Immigration Online system on 29 January 2024.
  • Paper applications for these visas will no longer be accepted from 29 January 2024.
  • We encourage anyone eligible for these visas before 29 January 2024 to wait and apply online.
  • You can apply for this visa if you have had a NZ residence visa and been in NZ for more than 2 years.
  • This visa allows you to travel in and out of New Zealand freely.

Visa details:

  • Length of stay:                 Indefinitely
  • Cost:                                     From NZD $240
  • Processing time:              80% within 4 weeks

With this PR visa you can:

  • Live, work and study in NZ.
  • Travel to and from NZ anytime you like.
  • Include your partner and dependent children aged 24 and under in your visa application – (if they were included in original application).
  • Non principal applicants can’t apply for Permanent residence before the Principal applicant, unless a non-principal exception applies:

Non-Principal Applicant Exceptions:

  • If INZ are unable to grant you a Permanent Resident Visa, they may be able to offer another resident visa or variation of your Resident Visa travel conditions.
  • This would give you more time to travel to and from NZ as a Resident.

Active Investor Plus Visa - AI+ 2.0 The New Zealand Government announced changes to NZ’s Active Investor Plus Category on 9.2.25. This signals to the international investment market that NZ is open for business. These changes from 1st April 2025 will ensure those who engage with investors will extract potentially greater investment on a far greater scale than is currently being achieved. This will finally deliver the economic benefits that the policy was designed to create. Over the past two years, we have seen a significant number of potential investors discouraged by the investor visa route into New Zealand. These changes to the AI+ settings are a refinement that removes any unnecessary complexity and rewards high-wealth individuals who wish to invest in NZ. The current settings have been unable to achieve the projected interest, and as such, increased interest and investment into NZ is highly likely.
