Advisa’s Commitment to Maintaining Your Privacy

This Privacy Statement has been created because we value the privacy of our Candidates and Clients and recognise their right to keep Personal Information private. This statement discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for Advisa Global. Advisa collects Personal Information and Personal Data for the purposes of providing immigration consultation services. Any Personal Information and Personal Data collected from you will be used by us in accordance with and as described in this Privacy Statement. This Privacy Statement has been prepared by Advisa Limited (Company Registration Number 925030).


Collecting Information
We collect Personal Information in order for Users to take full advantage of Advisa’s services. To do this it will be necessary for Users to provide information to Advisa Global, often via the Advisa website (Site)

Advisa may also collect and use information about you that is relevant to the services Advisa is contracted to provide


Communications To and From Advisa
Advisa may also provide Registered Users with selected information about immigration,  job placement and career-related topics in email communications including in email newsletters. From time to time Advisa may also make contact by telephone. Users may request to 'opt-out' of receiving emails from Advisa by replying to the Advisa email. Conversations to Users over the phone may have a recording of the contents of the calls for verification and quality assurance purposes. Any Personal Information collected on those calls is used in accordance with this Privacy Statement.


Storage and Security of Personal Information
Advisa takes all reasonable steps to ensure the security of the system and to protect information from misuse, interference and loss, as well as unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Any information which we hold is stored on secure servers in New Zealand that are protected in controlled facilities. In addition, Advisa’s employees and the contractors who provide services related to the information systems are obliged to respect the confidentiality and privacy of any Personal Information held by Advisa. Except in the case of breaches of its obligations under the Privacy Act to protect Personal Information, Advisa will not be held responsible for events arising from unauthorised access of Personal Information. In the event of a data breach, Advisa is committed to complying in all respects with any requirements of the Privacy Act NZ or the GDPR Europe (General Data Protection Regulation). Users can also play an important role in keeping Personal Information secure by maintaining the confidentiality of any password and accounts used. Please notify Advisa immediately if there is any unauthorised use of a User’s account by any other internet user, or any other breach of security relating to the account.


Other User Rights
In addition to User’s rights set out above, a User may:

  • Request Advisa update or rectify any of their Personal Data that is held
  • Withdraw consent to Advisa’s use of the User’s Personal Information as described in this Privacy Statement by requesting the Profile be archived (in effect shut down). Request that Advisa provide a copy of their Personal Data that Advisa holds about the User in a portable and machine readable form.


A User may make the above request/s by contacting Advisa using any of the methods set out in the “Contact Us” paragraph on page 4.


Data Retention

Advisa retains information provided to and collected about Registered Users, including Personal Information and Personal Data, for so long as it continues to provide services to the User and specifically until such time as it is requested to delete the User’s Personal Information and Personal Data.


Feedback and Complaints about Privacy

Advisa welcomes ideas and feedback about all aspects of service provided to Registered Users. Advisa stores feedback that Users send. If Users have any complaints about dealings with Personal Information including any breaches by Advisa of any privacy laws or any questions regarding this Privacy Statement then Users are able to submit that complaint or query by contacting info@advisa.co.nz.  Any complaints received by Advisa will be referred to our Manager for prompt investigation and a written response will be provided as soon as possible.


Privacy and Site Changes

From time to time, Advisa may review and update its Privacy Statement. Revised versions will be made available on the Candidate Portal and the Site.

European Union

If the Registered User is a resident of the European Union for the purposes of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) then, in addition to what is set out above, the following applies. Advisa is a data controller and processor for the purposes of the GDPR and, by a User consenting to this Privacy Statement, Advisa is able to process the User’s Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Statement. Contact details are set out in the “Contact Us” paragraph above.


Should a User have any concerns in relation to Advisa’s collection and/or processing of the User’s Personal Data then, in addition to the process set out above in the “Feedback and Complaints about Privacy”, a User has the right to complain to a supervisory authority (within the meaning of the GDPR).
